Maintenance tips for tropical wood:
To give the wood a more attractive finish it has been given a coat of varnish. Avoid contact with sharp objects which could damage or scratch the varnish. With time and after prolonged outdoor use the varnish can become weak. However, you can sand the surface down and varnish it again to allow you to enjoy the furniture for longer. It is unadvisable to leave varnished furniture outside during the winter. On tropical wood with only a light varnish a tropical wood sealant can be used.
